Troy is to be commended for keeping us in touch with church influence.com. Most CoG and other Pentecostal churches are small and some even use that as a bragging point; to be small is be among the remnant etc..Some are uncomfortable with the word ” influence ” and think that is not what we are about. Still there is a need to be taken seriously in our respective communities. I have spent a lot of time in my working career doing P R work and have to say that church folks is the very hardest group in trying to have a productive conversation about relating to the public. What is your take on this?
My point precisely with Terry Wiles A survey that reflects only mega churches or exclusive churches cannot gather information for the majority of churches like so http://churchinfluence.com/trends/
First Step-Next Step, Water Baptism, Baby Dedication, Marriage Preparation, Membership 101, Pastoral Care (which focuses on the ministry of a deacon), Fundamentals of Faith, Holy Spirit Theology, Spiritual Gifts, Spiritual Warfare, Fundamentals of Christian Counseling, and a systematic Bible Institute. Those are the foundations.
They are open to everyone with certification requirements that include personal interviews and personal affirmation of the individual and of others who know them.

My point is I’m happy it works for the majority of churches but it doesn’t work for our small mega church.
How small is your mega church?
2500 any given week. 3500 consistent with today’s averages. 4500 who show up once or twice a year.
Your congregation is trained through
Sunday school
Preaching
Leadership seminars
Volunteer training
or something else?
http://churchinfluence.com/scores/
Core classes that run continually training leaders and helping others become fully devoted followers of Christ (disciples).
And all the rest you list but we don’t call it Sunday School, instead it is offered at any time a teacher wants to teach it.
Give us the scoop on core class? What and who is it all about?
First Step-Next Step, Water Baptism, Baby Dedication, Marriage Preparation, Membership 101, Pastoral Care (which focuses on the ministry of a deacon), Fundamentals of Faith, Holy Spirit Theology, Spiritual Gifts, Spiritual Warfare, Fundamentals of Christian Counseling, and a systematic Bible Institute. what you describe is like new believer class?
First step – next step. And Water Baptism. That’s the direction we encourage but there is maximize flexibility.
Those are all individual classes. Most are taught at a Bible Institute level.
