One of the things we should consider is how much personal influence we have in our own church home. In our culture there is a subtle ” trimming of wings ” there is a holding in place and not letting those with special talent or abilities get to much exposure or recognition. If that attitude persists it means that if you join that church you must be willing stay in place and not rock the boat.

Yes Jim Price tells us the name of your own church home?

Troy if I reveal my home church I run the risk of offending some who might take my comments the wrong way. At the same time I see no gain. Suffice to say that I have served in almost every office, while I have not been able to avoid every controversy but generally I am thought of as peace maker and peace keeper.

I would be interested in hearing from some readers to see if they feel hemmed in and must go through a certain amount of red tape to introduce anything new within the body of the local church.
